Student Parking Permits
Niles North has a limited number of student parking spaces on campus. Priority is given to senior students and students in the work-study program, per the policy of the Board of Education. Any remaining parking permits are available for students to purchase on a first come, first served basis on the first day of school.
Please follow the steps below to purchase a parking permit.
- Pay any outstanding fees and fines to be eligible to receive a student parking permit for the school year.
- Complete the parking registration form online. Registration opens in August each year. The Safety Office will review the required information to approve the permit purchase:
- Student ID number Valid Illinois driver’s license number for the student
- Color, make, and model of vehicle
- License plate number
- Proof of auto insurance for the vehicle that will be parked on the school campus
- Pay for the parking permit
- The annual parking permit costs $300.00. The discounted cost is $240.00 for students enrolled in an Early Bird Class - student must show their official class schedule.
- Payment can be made in Campus Portal, or cash or check (through the Bookkeeper’s Office). Make checks payable to Niles Township High Schools.
Students who receive a parking permit must agree to the following guidelines:
- Abide by the District’s parking rules and regulations.
- Abide by Illinois traffic laws and traffic control signs on campus.
- Display the school parking sticker on the passenger side of the vehicle’s windshield.
- Park only in spaces designated for student drivers. Do not park in staff parking spaces
- Report any new license plate issued in order to receive a new parking permit.
- Pick up passengers in authorized areas only; using fire lanes is not permitted during school hours.
Students and families should be aware that the school administrators and School Resource Officers have the right to search vehicles parked on school property at their discretion.
