If you are aware of any of the following issues on your school campus or during school activities, please report it immediately to a staff member.
- School violence or threats to harm self or others
- Weapons
- Bullying, intimidation or harassment
- Drug activity or use of illegal substance
- Other issues affecting student safety
School Resource Officer Program
D219 has a School Resource Officer (SRO) program through a partnership with the Skokie Police Department. The goals of the SRO program align with the District’s priority to keep our schools safe.
The SRO has three primary roles:
- Law enforcement officer - supports the community’s law enforcement efforts and promotes awareness of the law.
- Law-related counselor - provides guidance to students, families, and staff, along with resources to support services inside and outside of school.
- Law-related presenter - shares expertise through presentations to students, families, and staff.
