BLACK STUDENT UNION
The Black Student Union promotes the sharing of our culture and history. It is a great opportunity to extend camaraderie and to stress unity among the black students at Niles North. Educational and social programs are held during the year to celebrate African-American culture and history.

DREAM
DREAM stands for Developing Resourceful ways to Encourage Alliances and Mentorship amongst women of color. DREAM is a student group bringing together young women who self-identify as African, Black or Caribbean from Niles North High School. It is the mission of DREAM to enlighten, inspire and support young women of color in every aspect of their lives. We hold bi-weekly lunch-time meetings and one after school meeting per month. We discuss a range of topics from academic to personal. DREAM helps our young ladies of color develop self-esteem, healthy relationships, effective communication skills, problem-solving skills, and mentorship skills. We educate our young women of color on the origins of race, societal perceptions of black women, microaggressions, and cultural appropriation. We also discuss goal setting, study skills and college preparation amongst other life skills.

FEM CLUB
FEM Club was started to explore issues of empowerment, equality, and justice,
primarily focusing on those that directly affect women. The main goal of FEM club is to
specifically address the continued disenfranchisement of women. FEM Club critically
analyzes and engages in discourse aboutthe sexism, misogyny, and patriarchy that we
unfortunately see in our everyday lives. FEM Club will take part in fundraising for
charities, having discussions about intersectionality, womanism, and rape culture, as
well as hold guest lectures. FEM Club allows us to address sexism in a school setting
and it brings the student body together to focus on societal issues that impact us all.

FRENCH CLUB
The members of French Club have an interest and appreciation for all things French, including culture, food, movies, current events, fashion and wish to promote and enjoy the many contributions that France has made to the civilized world. The group cooks, show movies, discuss, play games and do social activities including participating in school events to promote the study of French as a language. GSA (GENDER/SEXUALITY ACCEPTANCE)
Our mission is to create a safe environment for all students regardless of sexual orientation, and to educate the school community as well as provide school-based support. H2O (Christian Club)
H2O is a student-run club dedicated to celebrating Christianity within the walls of Niles North. We meet after school to worship, do Bible study, encourage each other and pray together. The Hellenic Club promotes greater understanding of the rich cultural heritage of the Greeks in our community. In addition to being active members of International Club, the Hellenic Club provides community service to other clubs and organizations in our community. Membership is open to all. JEWISH ASSOCIATION OF STUDENTS
A place for Jewish teens to explore their religious heritage, and to encourage each other to learn about their faith, as well as to practice and to provide a safe place to discuss issue and topics of specific relevance to the Jewish faith. This club will also be a resource to educate non-Jews as well as Jews about Judaism, with the hopes of reducing Antisemitism, and will be inclusive and open to all students of all religious backgrounds.

MUSLIM STUDENT ASSOCIATION (MSA)
MSA provides Islamic education and fun activities. Jummah and Asr prayers are held. This club’s vision is to represent and celebrate the beautiful cultures of South Asia and introduce this culture to the Niles North student body.
