Psychologists and Social Workers
Each student has a psychologist or social worker connected to their support team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Social workers and psychologists at the school work together with assistant principals and school counselors to support students’ mental health, emotional well-being, and overall success.
These professionals work directly with students to provide individualized support, build social-emotional skills, and help navigate challenges within the school setting. They also offer targeted group counseling opportunities informed by student data, addressing areas such as anxiety, stress management, peer relationships, and self-regulation.
Role
In addition to their work with students, social workers and psychologists serve as key liaisons between the school, families, and outside agencies. They connect students and families to community-based resources and offer guidance to parents and guardians.
Data-informed practices guide their work at every level—from identifying student needs and evaluating interventions, to planning school-wide programming and measuring outcomes. These professionals collaborate closely with school staff to lead initiatives, support problem-solving teams, and provide staff training that fosters a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment for all students.
